TRAIL MAINTANENCE
Come on, Edmonton. We ride the trails, lets give something back. There will be an informal meeting at the Sugar Bowl Coffee Shop, next to Red Bike at the University, on Tuesday Feb 27th at 7pm. There will be a guy named Don Weir joining us to help us get started and talk about proper trail maintenance. Let's make a good name for our sport, and keep the trails open! Jasper 2000 The second Alberta MTBR gathering. Just as great as the first!
"Cecy" Krone Cecilia "Cecy" Krone was an avid bicycle racer, both mountain and road, and an active bicycle rights advocate. She was run down by a drunk driver on September 4th 1999 while on a group ride. A memorial ride was held for her in San Anselmo, California on September 11th. Five to Six hundred cyclists from as far away as San Diego showed up for this ride. Of course I was not able to attend, but I wore a patch over my heart on my race that day in memory of her. The race was the provincial hill climb, which was signficant of the location she was killed. These are some pictures of the memorial ride.
